Note: the project is nearly completed except that the orignal decals have become unuseable over time. I'm in the process of having them replaced. |

Construction is underway. Two of the carriage horses have been assembled. Two others were previously assembled and primed. The first coach assembly steps are shown at top. Two "styles" of carriage horses are provided: "A" (left with head straight ahead) and "B" (right with head slightly canted toward the right and the right rear leg raised slightly. |

Construction begins with the basic assembly of the coach. These photos show parts 1 thru 13 glued in place. Alignment is critical and must be square or the roof, for example, will not fit properly. Before the roof is installed, the interior is primed and painted flat black. |

The front and rear have added parts glued in place, the front especially, which defines the driver's seating area. |

Driver's seat (without backrest) and passenger bench (with backrest) added. |

The rear seat is for the guard. All seats now have there rails some of which need a bit of adjustment. |

The under-carriage is glued in place. The front (right) needs to have the main hitching bar attached. Subsequent steps include priming and painting of the coach, hitching parts, the driver, and the four horse team. |

Mock-up of the coach and four-horse team. Note that the coach has been primed and horses need to be painted. Overall length dimension is about 14 inches and barely fits on the oak base. |

The coach has is first coat of red (Vallejo VC0947 Dark Vermillion) and black (Vallejo VC0950 flat black). The figure is the only remaining Phoenix driver I have, the correct one could not be found in the after-market. |
